Her Laptops' Dim Light
#Enjoy my writings
10:58, in the dark dreamy night,
her eyes, dried of sleep,
she sat there beside,
under her laptops' dim light.
What's keeping her awake all night?
You ask yourself questions for years,
to which you never find the answers,
until you look at the laptop's dim light, every time.
You were 6, too young and asleep,
In the morning, there were colors, in your blank sketches,
You were 10, too tired and asleep,
Your math sums were never incomplete, as you woke up.
But now, your 14, too busy to take a peek,
Slammed your room's door, unbothered,
It's 11:21, she walks in, with a blanket in her hand,
Tucks you into bed, returning to work all night.
Not a single sigh you hear, hours passed by,
What happened, you wonder,
You finally open your sealed eyes,
to find her asleep under the laptop's dim light.
You walked closer, held her weak, aged hands,
her eyes opened, a sighless tear rolled out at this sight,
she smiled, for you came back for her at last,
only after infinite hours under the laptop's dim light.
