Tiny abandoned paws.

A poor little soul, 

Left stranded in the middle of nowhere, 

Abandoned, in agony, 

By an extremely shameful pair. 

His bark echoed through the near forest, 

A hopeful call to reach out to his master,

Which was never heard, 

For the master himself fled away, being sorest. 

The needy soul walked, 

As the days got colder, 

For it has been days since he barked, 

And since he wagged his tiny tail,

Cause his master gave him a cold shoulder. 

His tiny paws, bruised with dirt, 

While he starved of hunger, 

His thoughts pondered to those days, 

Where his master to his rescue, was never once late. 

Slowly, he paused, 

There was no way out, he knew, 

So there he sat, waiting for his master, with pleading eyes,

Was that inhumane master ever to come?

"Dogs might only be here for a part of your life, 

  But for them, you are their whole life" 

Not everyone is lucky enough to have one. Don't just abandon them, that's all I ask. :)
