The Weeping window

#Enjoy my writings

By the weeping window, she rested,
Trying to overcome her worrisome world,
She wondered, by what her life was infested,
Was it the pain of growing up that incurred?

For she remembers her gleaming little face,
But, now she wondered why did all of that fade?
Where once the splatter of the rain reached out to her ears,
She now could only see the weeping window instead.

All the light and happiness in her life,
She pondered over their absence and what this implied.
Her hands curled in, she had to be safe,
From her inner sorrows, that proved to be a disgrace.

She once screamed in excitement and glee,
She said to herself, how childish of me,
But now she realized, that all her screams,
Where nothing but screams of fright on repeat.

Sweet days of life never proved to be her cure,
While away from the weeping window she left.
In the end, she was unsure,
Was it her or the window that wept?
