The War's Wrath

#Enjoy my writings

Consuming the little silence left around, the sirens of the police ran around the city. Roads threatened to fall apart, as the bomb blasts continued without a break. Breaking news in the city was about the war that had been let loose. People were strictly warned to stay home in some areas and others were evacuated.

Amidst this life-threatening scenario going on, there was one lonely boy alone in the streets who lost his mother. He cried out loud in search of his mother and ran for miles around the place, but found no human soul around. His bare foot bled from the roughness of the ground. It was too hard for him to handle.

His constant cries were heard by a group of police nearby. They came in with their bulletproof van and immediately took the boy to safety. The young suffering boy did not plan on leaving his mother alone. Somewhere deep down in his heart he believed that his mother lay near his home, waiting for her son to come to her.

He wept loudly to the police, 'My, my mother, she is still-'
His worried thoughts were interrupted rudely by the police who said, 'Forget your mother, son we are not going back.'

The little lad's heart stood still. he didn't want to let his mother die in the wrath of the war. he was too innocent to understand the politics between countries that needed to sacrifice life. All he thought to himself is that he must bring his mother back. Finally, he was ready to break the rule. He needed to go out of the van, to get back to his mother. She had to be brought back home safely.

So, he ran. He ran as fast as he could, forgetting his bleeding feet that bled even more now.

The police shouted, 'You-. Stop that boy! Don't let him-'

His yellings faded as the boy ran further and further away. He was filled with hope. he thought to himself, maybe he will find his mother and bring her back home. Except the question here was, where is home?

The boy ran for hours with all these thoughts in his mind, until he finally reached where his home once was. He will find his mother, or so he thought.

'Mom! Where are you? I- I am here for you-', screamed the young lad with his trembling and exhausted voice.

He kept yelling and screaming until at last, he gave up. His selfless body gave up to the war and its terrible deaths. He cried and cried and cried. He kept searching for his mother until in the end, 'boooooommm' the bullet struck right through his bare broken heart. There he lay dying, right beside his mother's weeping body, in the wrath of the war.
