Our world is currently facing the hardship and misery of the fatal ' covid-19 '.It is indeed necessary to be aware of the virus. I have tried my best to cover all the important points and to avoid mentioning any rumors. I hope this will be useful for you....

Coronaviruses are a group of related viruses that cause diseases in mammals, humans and birds. Commonly, coronavirus infects in the intestinal locations of the species. There are basically two forms of coronaviruses known, one that affects animals and birds and the other that affects humans.

Coronavirus affects the upper respiratory and gastrointestinal tract of mammals and birds. Human coronavirus causes respiratory tract infections which can either be mild or severe. Some animal affecting coronaviruses are porcine coronavirus which infects pigs, Bovine coronavirus which infects young calf, Feline coronavirus which infects cats, Rabbit enteric coronavirus which infects young rabbits.

Well, Human coronavirus in the world is not completely new. In 2003, a human coronavirus which affected the respiratory tract was called 'SARS-coV' which had a mortality rate of 10%. Also, in 2012, a human coronavirus called the 'MERS-coV' or 'novel coronavirus 2012' had a mortality rate of 34.5%. 

Besides, there are many more human coronaviruses that caused lesser impact and were relatively harmless showing mild symptoms of cold such as the 'HcoV-oc43', the 'HcoV-HKU1', the 'HcoV-229E' and the New Haven coronavirus. Up to date there are 7 known human coronaviruses(HCV).

The much-publicized human coronavirus discovered in 2003, the 'SARS-coV' has unique pathogenesis which causes both upper and lower respiratory tract infections. The world is now under the attack of 'covid-19'  which has 70% genetic similarity to the 'SARS-coV' and hence it is also called 'SARS-coV-2' or 'the novel coronavirus of 2019'. The widespread outbreak of this harmful virus has resulted in travel restrictions, closing of schools and offices and nationwide lockdown in several countries.

Well, now there is no need to worry because even though several cases were first reported in China, the cases are falling significantly. Also, that the population of other countries is comparatively lesser than that of China, the virus will have a harder time spreading in much of the world! Also, the death rates are relatively low as compared to other pandemic outbreaks.

Moreover, kids and teenagers have been surprisingly resistant to the virus and actually the elderly are the ones in danger. However, that definitely does not mean that the young can be careless about the virus! Well, my request is that everyone please stay home and follow your government's instructions to remain safe from the deadly 'covid-19'.
